Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains easy techniques anyone can master. The chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture along with the natural environment. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I was never able to study or accomplish enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. When she was in Italy the chef developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian food. This had an enormous impact on how she views food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing challenges. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for awareness of children with diabetes. She frequently travels around the country in her role in the capacity of mentor and public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking.
