Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist fighting for UFC. UFC for the Flyweight Division, is a Kyrgyzstani. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC other fighter, is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sporting career as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the win via a second round TKO, and then won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and returned to the ring against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign a UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights but then lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
