His parents were missionaries, and during his initial years he traveled a lot with them. James Colson Baker was depressed and was unemployed when Sonia Alane, his mother was divorced from the Baker family at only nine years old. Baker along with his father along with their aunt, relocated to Denver in the direction of Denver. Baker suffered bullying from other youngsters in his community because due to his poverty. As a sixth-grader, he started listening to hip-hop. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born on the 22nd of April 1991 in Texas. The music he creates blends modern hip-hop, alternative and rock. Baker has released four mixtapes over between 2007 and 2010, prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. By the end of 2011, the Cleveland rapper was a household name following his transition from self-releasing his mixtapes, and then signing with reputable record labels. The fame of this Cleveland rapper skyrocketed after he released his first mixtape late in 2011.
